A notice of allowance will issue in a trademark application six (6) to eight (8) weeks after the date the application was published for opposition and was not successfully opposed. During the thirty (30) day opposition window, a party may file either an opposition or a request for extension of time to oppose that may either delay or prevent a notice of allowance from issuing by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Once a notice of allowance is issued in an intent-to-use application, the applicant is required to submit a statement of use within six (6) months. This six (6) month timeframe is extendable for up to three (3) years.
